My travel mini-album Part 1 (Finally)..

I am very excited today - I want to share with you {finally} my travel mini-album from our last summer vacation  in Portugal 2011.

This one so far (if not count my Project Life) is my and my family's favorite keepsake.

But before, let me tell you, that when I was surfing internet I found (via Pinterest) one beautiful travel album, which at that moment reminded me of my own one (you can check it here). I have got very excited that someone far away had similar ideas, I left the comment there.. Since than I have lots of traffic coming from that site, so finally I am sharing with you my mini-book, as was promised.. I really hope you will like it..

It has 48 pages. So i would divide it in 3 parts (posts).

The idea was that one page spread will be dedicated for each day of our 30 day vacation. But, because we had some days lots of things going on, I added extra 18 pages.

I was doing it during vacation in the end of each day. The base, embellishments were ready (you can check here). So, I had to print the pics, stick them on, add journaling and add some embellishments here and there..
Some times I was little bit late and I had to catch up, but, in general, I have got it ready by the day we arrived back to Dubai..

Here on the title page there is a window card, which allows to add photo and a sentiment. Album protected with transparency film.

The main white pages were created with watercolor paper.

An envelope for some extra memorabilia. Round tag helps to keep it closed.

 All these little photos can be open up like a stack.

 Tag "First Class" can be removed and has notes on the back side. Transparent strip holding it in place. The same store with "Highlights"  tag.

By the way, I loved writing on dark-bright solid papers with white gel pen.

Numbers in the circles represent dates.

All the tags removable and double-sided with some notes.

My favorite technique was to use big photo - the size of the page.

And of course, transparencies in between the pages with some stickers and stamp prints!..

These small strips with words I cut out from 12x12 patterned paper. I loved using them.
